When I read for clients using the MotherPeace deck and this card surfaces, I know they are often working to shed what the past once offered them. No longer are they available to energies of whatwas. Sometimes the past is brought to our present because it hasn’t fully been released. Yes, clear action is being taken, but only on an emotional level.

One may be in deep reflection surrounding a situation, closing themselves off (for now) from taking anyphysical action. One may appear to be “over” the situation, (and very well may be) but their decision is still in the realm of pure emotion. They need to step onto shore; onto the path of certainty as the past is left behind.
